| Dear Praying Friend, |
July 2009 |
Come praise
the Lord with me for:
•
A
great visit from Pat and Wendy Campbell and the team from their church.
•
The
salvation of Solina’s (the girl I started discipling) brother, Isaiah.
•
The
Lovealls safe trip to the States despite many last minute difficulties.
Pat and
Wendy Campbell, short-term missionaries on deputation with BMM coming here
as soon as the Lord permits, were here for a month of teaching and helping.
For two weeks of their trip, a group of 9 from their church and a
neighboring church were down to help with evangelism in schools and work
projects. This group got done more than any other team with which I have
helped. They had a mind to work and were the motivation to get the floor
poured on the chapel building for the seminary. We praise God for the “shot
in the arm” that a team like this can be. Please pray for Pat and Wendy as
they head to language school in Costa Rica and prepare to serve the Lord
with my team here in Cuzco.
The Lovealls are stateside, leaving a big hole here. In the last days of
their term Willy got stung by a scorpion, a spiteful complaint was filed
with the police about building materials that they had legally purchased
from the community, and anything else that could go wrong, did. But God
showed Himself strong and they were, by some miracle, able to leave for the
US. Please pray that their furlough would be a time for
spiritual and physical recharging, and that God would take care of the many
details that could come up while they are gone.
The last couple of groups/visitors kept us really busy the last half of this
month, but were a huge asset to the ministry in many ways. Please pray for
the next group that is coming in July to work specifically on the church in Arin. Pray that we are able to rest up a little before they come.
Please
also pray especially for the seminary mission trip coming up the 10-19 of
July. I will be taking a group of 6 students and 2 pastors 14 hours into the
jungle to minister to churches in Manguliari. Pray for safety and health,
for fruit in the churches and works we visit, and for spiritual growth in
the students on my team.
Thanks for praying.
