AWANA Missionary-In-Training to Dominica

Prayer Letter
April 2000

Dear Friends,

After attending boot camp last summer, the Awana Missionary-In-Training Program approved me for service.  Awana is a program that has Bible centered clubs with the goal of reaching boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and training them to serve Him.  I have been assigned to a team taking a short-term missions trip to the Island country of Dominica.  I am greatly anticipating my trip in July of 2000.  I am a freshman at Pensacola Christian College, training to pursue full time missions-evangelism.

Dominica, our destination, is an island located in the Caribbean Sea.  It is part of the Leeward Islands, and it is 29 miles long and 16 miles wide.  Dominica has a population of over 66,000 people who need the Lord.  The population is relatively young with more than 70% under the age of 30.  We will have an opportunity to work with children through the Awana and CrossTrainers (a division of Awana) programs.

Before I can go I am responsible to raise my own support to help with the expenses for this mission project.  In addition, I'm enlisting all the prayer support I can get.  Would you prayerfully consider helping in either or both of these areas?  If you would like to invest in this ministry or need further information please e-mail me.  I am required to raise at least  half of my support by February in which God is blessing I am doing very well.  All the funds I raise will be used for the expenses of the entire missions team.

Thank you for whatever support the Lord may lead you to give.  Above all, please pray for the AWANA MIT Team Dominica 2000 as we share God's love with others through this missions project.

To Dominica and beyond for my King.
