AWANA Missionary-In-Training to Dominica

Prayer Letter
June 28, 2000

Dear Friends,

I have completed all the requirements for the Awana Missionary-in-training program and am eagerly anticipating my departure. I am ready except for packing. The dates that I was originally given for the trip have changed and I am now leaving on July 6th for Awana Headquarters in Chicago. God provided even in this change of dates and I will now also be able to be a counselor at Antioch's Junior Camp. (I am also preparing to head back down to Pensacola Christian College in the fall, as a sophomore floor leader.)

Dominica, our ultimate destination, is an island country located in the Caribbean Sea. It is part of the Leeward Islands, and it is 29 miles long and 16 miles wide. Dominica has a population of over 66,000 people who need the Lord. The population is relatively young with more than 70% under the age of 30. The schools in Dominica are in session and we have obtained permission to go into the schools to give Gospel lessons, puppet shows and Bible stories. We will also have an opportunity to minister with testimony as we travel.

God has provided exceedingly, abundantly above all that I could ask or think. I have raised more than the required support. All of the excess support has gone to make it possible to take more supplies to the missionaries and for ministry. As Paul said in Romans 15:30 "Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me." See Intercession Topics below for a list of specific requests. Maybe you could print a copy and post them on your fridge as a reminder to pray for us.

Thank you for interceding for us as we go to Dominica and beyond for our King,
